One of the most praised traits in high-achievers is self-control. We pride ourselves on our ability to stay steady while others are wavering.
But in the IET (Integrative Essence Therapy) framework I developed, we have to look at what that regulation is doing to our essence.
Your emotions are the "gauges" on your internal dashboard.
If you spend years clamping down on those gauges to maintain a polished exterior, your system eventually stops showing you the data.
You find yourself successful, but flat.
Accomplished, but joyless.
In this week's video, we explore how long-term self-control can lead to emotional dulling and how to start turning the lights back on.

Here's your reflection for the week:
What emotional signals have you spent so long "managing" that you can no longer hear them?
I am currently exploring the deeper implications of being a "high-functioning" individual through the lens of my Integrative Essence Therapy framework.
My goal is to help people move away from a state of chronic adaptation constantly reacting to external demands toward a state of true internal alignment.
