2026 A Personal and Professional Milestone Anniversary

In 2026, Dr OM & Associates will mark a truly significant professional and personal milestone: our 10th anniversary.

It’s December 2015. I was wrapping up my final week as a corporate leader. While I was grateful for my time serving as a Global Head of Learning in a large multinational, I was eager to start a new adventure and set up my own private practice.

Some of the people who knew my plan admired my courage to let go of the corporate safety net and its benefits. Others thought I was crazy for doing that. Others still, admired my courage, but felt I was crazy for setting up my practice in Singapore, where the perception was that mental health was not a prominent profession.

I felt confident and deeply committed to the idea, deciding I would give it my all. Despite the risks, of which I had mitigated as many as I could, I pressed ahead with my mission. Honestly, I couldn't have imagined I'd be writing this message today and inviting you to celebrate our 10th anniversary. But here we are. A decade later.

My journey has always been shaped by staying open to emerging opportunities while keeping an attentive eye on my own evolution. I believe we are constantly surrounded by opportunities; what makes the difference is whether we see them, and that depends entirely on what we are open to within ourselves.

From a young age, curiosity has been my compass. It guided me from the Army to IT, and from IT to psychology. None of these transitions were planned. They happened. What was intentional was my choice to acknowledge these turning points, follow them, and let go of well-rehearsed chapters of my life, even when the next step was not yet mapped out.

That same curiosity led me to discover my passion for psychology, and so, the practice was born.

That same curiosity led me years later to pursue a Doctorate in Human Sexuality - initially fuelled by personal questions and deep research, later expanded by genuine academic interest.

Professionally, it became clear that Singapore had very little to offer in the realm of sexual health and therapy at the time: there was only one other qualified sexologist in the country. Completing the doctoral programme opened the door for me to create something much-needed.

Today, 10 years later, I have the privilege of working independently with a global client base, continually bringing the latest insights in psychology, relationship theory, human performance, sexology and holistic well-being. What began as a specialised clinical practice has grown into a comprehensive ecosystem of services, including:

• Psychotherapy and Clinical Sexology

• Holistic psychology-based retreats and workshops fostering resilience, inner peace, balance and emotional mastery

• The Relationships Blueprint, a structured path to healthier relational patterns

• Intensive programmes for individuals and couples

• Executive coaching focused on behavioural change and well-being

• And last but not least, additional support with our associates Gloria, our family expert and Carol, our trauma specialist.

   

This evolution was made possible because of you. I am particularly grateful to those who trusted me in those early years, long before the practice had a name or reputation.

Your courage, honesty, and commitment to your personal growth have shaped this clinic as much as I have.

The private feedback you’ve shared with me over the years has strengthened my belief that when we dedicate ourselves to growth, we can unlock possibilities we once thought unimaginable.

My intention has always been to support each of you as best as I can, one person or one couple at a time, and contribute, in my small way, to a healthier world.
