About Me
For over two decades I’ve been privileged to have worked with patients in public institutions (e.g. Mount Elizabeth Hospital’s psychiatric ward, National Skin Centre’s DSC Clinic, Singapore Cancer Society), and clients in private practice.
My older-childhood memories were of spending time in school libraries poring over Psychology books, curious to know why people are the way they are. I was just always motivated to understand myself and others. In that process, I was searching to acquire meaningful constructs for navigating relationships and life. Everyone struggles at some point or other, and it is a human condition we cannot entirely avoid…. yet how do we learn to journey through this life as strengthened as we can be?
When I started studying Psychology in University, carved to a wall of one of the buildings were the words “Know Thyself!” With an exclamation mark! It felt to me like an exhortation, a passionate urging. I knew I had arrived where I needed to be, receiving an education in Psychology, and since then working in a role fully aligned to my self.
